Consistently ranked in the top 25 for LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, and numbered in Real Trends “The Thousand”, Elaine specializes in the Douglas County area of Colorado, situated between Denver and Colorado Springs. She defines her niche as “Specializing in the Art of Selling Masterpiece Properties” — including stunning luxury homes in the city and, drawing from her background as a competitive equestrian, ranch properties from 5 to 250 acres.

Rarely will you find Elaine promoting herself. With over 80% of her business coming from repeat clients and referrals, her preferred form of promotion is simply this: market and present every property so extraordinarily well that the work speaks for itself. That philosophy clearly resonates.

She is privileged to work alongside two of her daughters, Karina Stevens and Joy Nowakowski, both of whom entered real estate after successful careers in chemistry and education respectively. Together, they are supported by an exceptional administrative team empowering the group to focus diligently on each client’s best interests.

Prior to joining LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, for 15 years Elaine operated her own boutique real estate brokerage. The decision to join Sotheby’s was obvious— the firm’s unparalleled ability to market homes in the luxury space gives her clients access to a level of exposure and prestige simply unavailable elsewhere.

Before her career in real estate sales, Elaine built a strong foundation in corporate real estate development, serving as President of a private firm in the Midwest and later as Vice President of Marketing for a publicly traded company. Those experiences gave her a unique understanding of real estate from every angle — development, marketing, and sales. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and did graduate work there as well.

Previously Elaine and her husband were partners in a restaurant company in Kansas City — owning 38 restaurants — and while she is not active in that endeavor, their connection to the restaurant industry continues. If nothing else, after a long day there’s always someplace to grab dinner.

It is this rare combination of corporate experience, entrepreneurial spirit, family partnership, and genuine passion for the properties and people she represents that  makes Elaine not just a top producer, but a trusted advisor to her clients for over two decades.

After 8 years I left a career in the Biotech industry, passed the Colorado real estate exam, and joined the well-respected Stucy Realty Company in the business of Real Estate. The transition was exciting and quite natural, I imagine in part due to all the exposure growing up in a real estate family.

Now after over 10 years, I find my real estate career in high gear, and am applying the same energy, diligence, and care to this career as I always have to anything I pursue. Specializing in Douglas County and South Metro Denver has afforded me the opportunity to develop and maintain a great understanding of the market place, and the support of a highly effective, professional staff allows me to provide memorable customer service to our clients.

When my real estate day ends, I enjoy playing tennis, skiing the beautiful Colorado slopes, hiking with my spirited dogs, and traveling or just hanging out with my terrific husband, Roy, and amazing little boy, Scott. Okay, let’s be honest with a young one, most evenings are spent at home with the family, but we look for every opportunity to get out and do the fun things we love.

With significant experience in helping buyers and sellers meet their objectives – be it selling a home to relocate out of area or finding a great buy within walking distance of a desirable school – my goal is to make the process as fulfilling and painless for my clients as possible, while protecting their interests at all times. Be it negotiating on a client’s behalf or finding a special property for a buyer before it even goes on the market, I truly love what I do..

With deep roots in Douglas County, I bring firsthand knowledge of the communities, neighborhoods, and market trends throughout Castle Rock and the South Denver metro area. Since beginning my real estate career in 2017, I have helped buyers and sellers successfully navigate transactions by combining market expertise, strategic negotiation, and a commitment to exceptional client service. My approach is simple: listen first, communicate often, and advocate relentlessly for my clients’ best interests.

Before real estate, I spent more than 20 years as a teacher and educational leader, where I developed the skills that continue to define my business today: clear communication, thoughtful problem-solving, relationship building, and the ability to guide people through important decisions with confidence and care. Those strengths, paired with years of real estate experience, allow me to provide a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout every stage of the buying and selling process.
